Calling It A Career
More than 20 years ago a lanky high school quarterback from San Antonio opted to take his talent west to Brigham Young University and follow in a long line of excellent quarterbacks. No one could have predicted he’d become the most successful signal caller at the school, win the Heisman Trophy and go on to a 14-year career in the NFL. Today, the Texan has returned to his roots and for the first time in years is enjoying life in the outdoors and life after football.

Tailgating Times
Want to know how to make a variety of tailgate-friendly recipes? How about some tips for tailgating? Or maybe, you want to see who was out and about last month cooking burgers and chugging down a few cold ones. All the answers and more can be found right here.

Minka Kelly of Friday Night Lights
This talented actress never followed sports growing up. Now, as one of the main characters on a drama that focuses on Texas high school football, she not only follows the sport, she’s fallen in love with it.

Beyond the Rivalry
For many, sports offers us an opportunity to cheer on our favorite team and escape from whatever it is in our world that may be bothering us. It is a respite of sorts from the reality that awaits. For one Sooner fan, the annual Texas-OU contest in Dallas is an opportunity to cheer on his team, but most importantly, it is a chance to remember a fellow fan, a close friend, a Longhorn who departed this life much too soon.
