10 Sports Bars in 10 Days
Sports bars have exploded in Austin in the last decade. It’s not as crazy as Walgreen’s or CVS but it is a substantial increase. With so many new places to watch the game, we wanted to find out what some of the more popular sports viewing locations have to offer. We graded each on several factors including: sports viewing experience, foods/drink, atmosphere, and last but certainly not least, eye candy.

In our own minds we know what we want in a sports bar. We thought it would be interesting to find out from the other perspective. What do sports bar owners try to provide in order to be successful in what has become an increasingly competitive market?

After years away from Austin pursuing his soccer career at the University of Maryland in college and then in Kansas City with the MLS, A.J. Godbolt has returned with the hopes and expectations of fine-tuning his game with Austin’s newest professional franchise, the Austin Aztex.

Editor Kyle Dalton always raved about how much he enjoyed gliding portion of his skydive in 2007. When he got the offer to join the folks at Paraglide Texas, he immediately committed to doing it. Now, after months of talking about, he finally went up "with the birds."

Nike+ Human Race
New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Austin. Those are the four host cities in the United States for the Nike+ Human Race on August 31. Austin was selected because of its avid running community. This month we talk about the upcoming race as well as what you need to do to start preparing for the worldwide event.

Calendar of Events
Roy Williams, B.J. Johnson and Sloan Thomas made their mark in DKR-Memorial Stadium as athletes at the University of Texas. Now, the three are trying to make their mark outside the stadium in the Austin community with their Second Annual Texas Premier Football Camp that teaches the fundamentals of the game to area youth and will feature many former Longhorn football stars.
